Political Violence

This section organised by the Standing Group on Political Violence deals with various forms and dimensions of political violence. It brings together scholars across disciplines who use various approaches and methodologies to study political violence. The papers deal with various forms and manifestations of political violence, ranging from lone actor violence, street violence, hate crime and clandestine violent campaigns to civil wars and insurgencies. Also measures taken to prevent or counter various forms of political violence, as well as issues related to peace building, are addressed. For more information, see individual panels below.
