Abstract

This Panel examines the forces shaping party system change in Western and Central and Eastern European countries. The primary focus of the panel is on the conditions under which electoral coordination on a set of parties over repeated elections remains (un)stable. The papers mainly rely on quantitative methods and aggregated and individual-level data.
