Abstract

This panel investigates the representative claim-making activities of populist parties and actors during pandemic times. Particular attention is devoted to the gendered aspects of populist performances; developing a comparative approach. Papers also investigate the relations between crisis narratives developed in pandemic times, populism and (the loss of) democratic accountability.
