Abstract

The Standing Group on Teaching and Learning Politics are excited to bring you one of our first Speed Networking Sessions! We’ll be using the app – Spatial Chat – so the structure of the session is expected to be as follows: We will start with a short introduction by Dale and Dorothy, co-chairs for our section and members of the TLP Steering Committee. With a brief introduction to the Spatial Chat app. This will be followed by 4 rounds of groups that people will be able to move their avatars in/out of discussions like we would in-person. Rather than allocation to a room, we hope that people will ‘float’ to the area / topic of interest to start and rotate to other areas on each round to meet new people after about 5 minutes or so. General introductions will be encouraged (name, institution, research topic) There will then be a short conclusion by Dale and Dorothy.
