Abstract

The slow move from the permissive consensus to the restricting dissensus did not happen in a political and economic void. The role of geographical context in terms of nation state, subnational region and geo-location as well as the political supply side context play a significant role in shaping attitudes towards the EU. In this panel we invite papers analysing soft or hard Euroscepticism on the individual level through the prism of the context people experience in their everyday lives.
