The Loop is one year old!

The LoopHappy birthday to ECPR's political science blog, The Loop, which celebrates its first anniversary today!

Over the past twelve months, this thriving resource, which brings the work of the scholarly community to a broader readership, has published an impressive 222 individual blog pieces by some 286 authors across five continents.

Global reach

During its short life, The Loop has gathered articles from contributors as far afield as Nigeria, China, Bangladesh, Japan, Hong Kong, South Africa, Argentina and Chile.

Latest expert thinking

Recent innovations on the blogsite have included a thriving series on democratic theory, the Science of Democracy, and a new thread exploring the so-called 'Illiberal wave' sweeping world politics.

Broad scope

The Loop has amassed a broad back catalogue representing a vast range of subdisciplines in the political science field. You can search for your particular area of interest via the 'Categories' drop-down menu – or by simply typing in a specific search term in the keyword box. Have a poke around and discover some hidden gems!
