Important update on our 2021 Joint Sessions of Workshops

After careful consideration and in consultation with our host, Charles University, we have taken the decision to hold the 2021 Joint Sessions of Workshops as a fully virtual event.

Whilst we had already planned for several of this year’s Workshops to take place virtually, we had hoped to offer a number in person in Prague too. The continuing situation across Europe is such, however, that we no longer feel this is will be possible while safeguarding the wellbeing of our participants.

Drawing on the experiences gained through holding both a virtual Joint Sessions and General Conference in 2020, we are confident participants will enjoy an engaging and rewarding online experience with the in-depth debates and thorough critique of research the Joint Sessions has become known and valued for over its five-decade history.

What this means

All accepted Workshops initially planned to take place physically will now be transitioned into a more flexible online format, held between 17 and 28 May. There will be no changes for Workshops already planned to be held online.

What happens next

The Workshop Directors and Paper Presenters for the affected Workshops have now been contacted directly; please monitor our website, social media and email communications for further updates.
