Abstract

This panel investigates the EU’s role in the field of security. This is particularly timely, given the ongoing discussions on European security broadly conceived. By adopting different theoretical angles, the papers explore patterns of security governance in the Balkans, the emergence and evolution of the EU’s security actorness, the dynamics related to the defence industry and the increasing EU relevance in disaster risk management.
