About the Standing Group

The Standing Group on the European Union (SGEU) promotes coordination and collaboration among political scientists interested in the blooming area of research on the EU. The Standing Group, one of the most numerous in the ECPR, enjoys wide membership and recognition. Primarily a group of political scientists, the SGEU also fosters multidisciplinary collaboration across social science disciplines with a substantive focus on the EU.

About Luiss

Luiss University offers an innovative educational approach at its four Departments: Economics and Finance, Business and Management, Law, and Political Science. Its goal is not simply to convey knowledge but to instill flexibility in young people, giving them a sense of mastery over their future.

Luiss is committed to excellence in terms of considerable investment in education and research. Thanks to its affiliation with Confindustria, the Italian Industrialists' Confederation, the University has close ties to the country's industrial concerns, most of which operate internationally.

NB: While we are actively planning to host a physical event in Rome, we are prepared to adopt a hybrid, or a fully virtual format, if necessary.
